AS 2 Heavy Duty Automatic Circular Saw Sharpener

The AS 2 is a machine of extremely robust design, embodying state of the art technology that is suitable for sharpening standard type CV circular saw blades or special types such as stellite tipped and TCT carbide tipped circular saws. The application of a carborundum grinding wheel to the AS 2 allows sharpening of the complete tooth shape. When Borozon wheels are used on stellite tipped saw blades and diamond grinding wheels on carbide  saw blades, only tooth face and back are ground. The standard AS 2 offers straight grinding on the tooth face and back, straight grinding on the tooth face and bevel grinding of the tooth back and bevel grinding of the tooth face and back. The universal AS 2 offers straight grinding to the tooth face only and straight grinding to the tooth back and face. Straight grinding tooth face, bevel grinding tooth back is also avaialble . Grinding of saw blades with raking and finsihing teeth can be adjusted by tooth height difference. Chamfering up to 45 degrees.

The AS 2 features a robust steel design and a mechanism and grinding head guides with tempered shafts and ball bush bearings which require the minimum of maintenance with no greasing points. A further feature is the ability for the AS 2 to regulate the feed speed of the saw via  a 4 speed frequency converter. The AS 2 unit is operated from the modern, selective programme control panel which is neatly arranged and easy to operate. Pnuematically operated two pressure blade clamping facilities, high pressure for tooth face grinding and low pressure for tooth back grinding facilitate broaching cutter runs.

Options abound with the AS 2 . Pnuematic bevel grinding, special alternate bevel grinding and grinding head adjustment is available to chamfer to 45 degrees.  The AS 2 can,  as an option have automatic grinding wheel feed down, automatic stop and a totaliser for the number  of teeth sharpened. The AS 2 is available set up for dry grinding or with a powerful water cooling system.
