The SAM manual stellite tipping system is proven and has an excellent reputation. The stellite is welded onto the saw by the resistance welding method. the structural condition of the stellite does not change during the welding process thereby avoiding cracks and holes in the stellite. The stellite is welded on horizontally and the tip size can be adjusted in width. The stellite bar is manually advanced and is cut off by a cutting wheel after welding. Pre shaped (prism) stellite P5.0 and P6.6 and round stellite from 3.2mm to 8.0mm can be used. There is no need for elaborate saw preperation and grinding of the saw tip before tipping and new tips can be directly welded onto existing tips.
Easy adjustment to the SAM allows bandsaws and circular saws to be tipped on the same machine. Tipping of the saws is manually executed. Annealing is carried out automatically in a second process. The simple construction of the machine eliminates the need for expert operation and the central height adjustment device gives hassle free installation of the saw blade.
There are many options for the SAM. These inclued a carousel centrally adjusted in height for right running saw blades , single stands for heavy or left running blades, additional supports for double toothed bands and equipment for circular saw blades with centering devices for bores ranging from 22mm to 210mm.
